ProBono.Org is a non-profit law organisation that facilitates free legal services for the poor from the legal profession.

ProBono.Org has a one-year contract position for a qualified lawyer to build on its community advice office ('CAO') project, which aims to support CAOs and community based organisations ('CBOs') by linking them to local lawyers. The responsibilities include:

- Travelling to, building relationships with, training and monitoring CAOs and CBOs in rural South Africa, particularly in Limpopo, North West and the Vaal Triangle, in need of legal support
- Travelling to, co-opting and training local private lawyers in rural areas and small towns to render pro bono services to clients sourced through rural CAOs and CBOs
- Organising workshops, seminars and clinics
- Preparing resource and publicity material
- Monitoring and evaluation of the project

The ideal candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Admitted attorney or advocate, with at least two years post admission experience with experience or interest in working in public interest law, preferably with CAOs and CBOs.
- Project management skills, with the ability to organise workshops, seminars and clinics.
- Willing to travel to rural areas, work independently and report back effectively.
- Preferably the ability to speak Afrikaans and an African language spoken in the relevant areas
