SENIOR PROGRAMME OFFICER
Salary: ZAR 150,000 - ZAR 155,000 pa, excl. benefits

This is a senior position with responsibilities for technical support
to governmental and non-governmental organisations within the South-
ern African Development Community.

MINIMUM CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS
The minimum requirements for this appointment are a Bachelor's degree
in a related field of study and at least four years work experience
in any combination of the following specialties: training, monitoring
& evaluation, and programme management. Mastery in English and an-
other local language are also required. Candidate must demonstrate
excellent writing skills, computer literacy and proficiency in inte-
grating gender equity strategies in programming!

The successful candidate will be expected to provide technical sup-
port to regional partners for improving the effectiveness of their
programmes. Major responsibilities include the development and coor-
dination of regional training activities for SRH managers, supervi-
sion of regional sub-contracts and the development of innovative re-
sponses to regional SRH needs.

PROGRAMME OFFICER
Salary: ZAR 128,400 - ZAR 139,100 pa, excl. benefits

This position requires the incumbent to work with the Director, Pro-
gramme Officers and sexual and reproductive health (SRH) agencies in
developing and implementing SRH training programmes within the South-
ern African Development Community (SADC).

MINIMUM CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS
Requires graduation from an accredited university with a Bachelors
Degree in Health Sciences, Education or related field. Mastery of
English and another regional language relevant to Zambia, Namibia and
Zimbabwe. Requires a minimum of 3 years of training or work experi-
ence in an area related to health programming. Prior experience work-
ing within the NGO sector is advantageous. Cross cultural experience
within the Southern African Development Community and knowledge of
southern African language(s) highly desirable.

The successful candidate will be expected to conduct SRH training ac-
tivities and provide technical assistance to SRH programmes in South
Africa and SADC. This position will have special responsibilities for
projects in Zambia, Namibia and Zimbabwe.

TEAM LEADER
Salary: ZAR 8,000 - ZAR 10,000 (1 month contract)

Team Leaders for Programme Planning for ASRH should be competent fa-
cilitators of adult learning with specialised knowledge of Programme
Planning, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Youth Development.

MINIMUM CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS
The applicant should be in possession of a bachelors degree from an
accredited university, excellent written skills, fluency in English
and another regional language. At least 3 years working experience in
sexual & reproductive health service delivery or youth development
and at least 2 years prior experience in programme development or
programme management are essential.

The successful candidate functioning in this role will be responsible
for the support of learning through reinforcing key concepts from the
programme planning modules in team review sessions, and assisting
participants with the development and refinement of their programme
plans through individual coaching.
