committed to building the capacity of its member
organisations and the youth sector and to raise the
quality and standard of youth development programmes.
The YDN seeks a Project Co-ordinator: Research and
Documentation
Requirements:
* Previous research experience.
* Excellent writing skills.
* An undergraduate degree.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in working with
youth development programmes.
* An understanding of the development challenges
facing youth in South Africa and in the region.
* Must be computer literate in Ms Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Internet, and e -mail access.
* Ability to work independently as well as in a
small team and to meet deadlines.
Duties will include:
* To research youth employment programmes in South
Africa and the Southern African region producing
quality research reports.
* To document case studies of successful and
innovative youth employment initiatives.
* To disseminate information about the Youth
Employment Summit 2002 (YES) in South Africa and
the region.
* To liase and co-ordinate with various
stakeholders regarding the YES 2002.
* Develop material around models of good youth
employment / entrepeneurship programmes.
