The Non Profit Partnership wish to appoint a Junior Attorney, with a right of appearance within the NPO Tax Communication and Support Services Programme. This is a two-year contract, Cape Town-based position.

The Non Profit Partnership (NPP) is an NPO committed to supporting democratic transformation by strengthening the financial sustainability of the non-profit sector in South Africa. The NPP provides a range of creative services to NPO’s. These include providing information and
advice, establishing income-generating services and lobbying for relevant
legislative and financial policy changes.

We wish to appoint a Junior Attorney, with a right of appearance within the NPO Tax Communication and Support Services Programme. This is
a two-year contract, Cape Town-based position, with effect from the 1 January 2002, or as soon as possible thereafter. The programme is
being implemented in co-operation with USAID and CREA-SA.

Duties will include:

* Producing high level training material
* Establishing and maintaining relationships in provinces
* Developing a communication strategy
* Establishing and measuring the impact of services
* Coordinating strategic planning sessions
* Obtaining and collating information from relevant institutions
* Providing monthly narrative and financial reports
* Research
* Managing staff
* Doing presentations to stakeholders

Requirements:
* Junior attorney with an interest in the NPO sector
* Previous management experience
* Excellent presentation skills
* Excellent written and communication skills
* An understanding of the NPO sector
* Self motivated
* Able to work well within a team
* Computer literate
* Must be willing to travel
* A knowledge of three or more official languages
* Knowledge of the Taxation Laws Amendment Act No. 30 of 2000
would be a definite advantage
* Driver’s license

We also wish to appoint an independent and self-motivated full-time
Administrative Secretary for our Johannesburg office as soon as
possible. This is a two-year contract position.

Duties will include:

* Assisting the two Programme Managers with correspondence and
communication to various stakeholders
* Maintenance of appropriate information systems
* Organising and servicing meetings
* Performing of general office duties

The successful candidate must possess at least a matric level academic qualification, be computer literate and be able to communicate verbally
and in writing in English and at least two other official languages. 3 to 5 years experience in administration and secretarial positions will be a distinct advantage.
