VACANCY: FINANCIAL SERVICES CONSULTANT

Umhlaba Development Services is a development consultancy company providing a range of support services to NGOs, donors, and government departments. As part of its services, Umhlaba provides specialised financial management services to these development institutions in order to assist them in managing complex project and programme financial arrangements. We are looking to expand this service area and would like to contract a full-time Financial Services Consultant to provide Umhlaba clients with financial
management services on demand. The person we are looking for must have the following characteristics:

· Strong financial management experience, preferably in NGOs or donors
· Experience in managing accounts, preferably for development projects
· An ability to generate financial reports for managers and donors
· Good inter-personal skills, and an ability to work with development managers
· Good problem solving skills and capabilities
· An ability to work independently and be highly motivated
· An ability to market Umhlaba services among potential clients

The successful applicant will be expected to work closely with the Umhlaba Managing Director, and be required to report regularly on progress and client relations. The successful applicant will be required to sign a performance-based contract with Umhlaba. The salary package is competitive, and the working environment challenging and vibrant. There is also scope for training and development in the position.
