The Gender Advocacy Programme is looking for a project coordinator to work in its Domestic Violence Project.

The Gender Advocacy Programme (GAP) is a dynamic Advocacy & Lobbying NGO in Cape Town. Our mission is to bridge the GAP between women in civil society and structures of governance and to increase the participation of women in policy formulation & decision-making. Our main objective is to ensure that government policies, programmes and
legislation contribute to gender equity.

PROJECT COORDINATOR: DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

The activities to date in the Domestic Violence Project include policy analysis, policy advocacy, research and training. The incumbent would be responsible for:
$ providing strategic direction to the Project and
ensuring effective implementation of Project
activities
$ conducting research on critical aspects of gender-
based violence
$ policy analysis and submissions
$ managing Project staff and contributing to the financial sustainability of the Project

GAP is looking for a dynamic person, with effective strategic management, organising and networking
skills.

Requirements:
3 - 5 years Project Management experience
Human Resource Management skills in terms of
supervision of staff
Research and Writing Skills
Grounded in Gender and Development

Salary Range:
Between R104 026 and R112 500 per annum
