Papers submitted to AJAR will be reviewed by two appropriately quali-
fied referees to ensure that all papers accepted for publication are
methdologically and conceptually sound, and make an original contri-
bution to the field. Papers must be presented in English, although
abstracts may be presented in other languages. Papers will be ac-
cepted on the understanding that their contents have not been pub-
lished or submitted for publication elsewhere.

AJAR has an Editorial Board, which represents a broad spectrum of
disciplines and African countries. The journal will be managed by the
Rhodes University offices of Centre for AIDS Development Research and
Evaluation (CADRE).

AJAR will be fully integrated into international databases as well as
available online. It will be published quarterly and the first edi-
tion is currently in preparation.

NISC publishes journals as well as bibliographic databases on CD-ROM
and the Internet (including AIDSLINE, AIDSearch and African Health
Anthology).

Contributors are hereby invited to submit papers to AJAR for review.
