Regional Content Manager
For more than 50 years, we’ve been campaigning for human rights, wherever justice, freedom and truth are denied. We’ve reshaped policies, challenged governments and taken corporations to task. And in doing so, we’ve changed thousands of lives for the better. Right now, we’re creating a new kind of force for human rights, combining Amnesty’s strength and reputation with the voices of grassroots activists across the world. Delivering world class content that connects with people individually, you’ll help us to realise this potential.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Working closely with your peers in the regional office, you’ll set the strategy that ensures all campaign and communication material is produced and delivered in line with Amnesty’s goals, objectives and messages – creating a strong and coherent image across the region. That means carrying out regional audience analysis to ensure we’re connecting with and relating to individuals through locally relevant materials. It also means keeping all AI activists, campaigners and researchers up to speed by providing training, ongoing support and advice on everything from online content format, to our entire communication strategy. Beyond that, you’ll develop and maintain a voice across our channels that can feed into global or other regional conversations where necessary. And getting hands on when you need to, you’ll tell the stories of people on the ground – adding the personal touch that will drive home the importance of the work we do.
ABOUT YOU
An influential and experienced Content Manager from the NGO or private sector, you’ll have worked on regionally relevant digital platforms before and have the ability to deliver appropriate content across print, AV and social media. As the content will be used across many digital channels, languages and territories, you’ll need to ensure it speaks directly to the target audience and know how to use the tools required to measure success. And it goes without saying that you’ll have excellent writing and communication skills, in both a creative and factual context – conveying information in a simple but engaging way. Highly organised, you’ll confidently juggle priorities, as well as those of the various teams in the region. But just as importantly, you’ll show a genuine dedication to bringing change to human rights through effective communication.
ABOUT US
Our aim is simple: an end to human rights abuses. Independent, international and influential, we campaign for justice, freedom and truth wherever they’re denied. Already our network of more than three million members and supporters is making a difference in 150 countries. And whether we’re applying pressure through powerful research or direct lobbying, mass demonstrations, human rights education, or online campaigning, we’re all inspired by hope for a better world. One where human rights are respected and protected by everyone, everywhere.
