South African nuclear programme

The level of media and popular chatter on the topic of nuclear power increased noticeably in South Africa following Russian President Putin’s recent visit. It has been reported that President Ramaphosa told President Putin that South Africa couldn’t afford nuclear power right now.

Though the new year is now in full swing, many of us are no doubt still tallying the cost of last year’s festive season, be it measured in terms of increased debt levels or expanded waistlines.
