Dear Comrade General Secretary,
Thank you for the invitation to your elective 14th National Congress, which we have carefully considered.
South Africans following the story unfolding in the #GuptaLeaks would be forgiven for thinking it resembled the hackneyed script of a bad made for TV crime movie.
November 16, 2016 was to be yet another turning point in Jacob Zuma’s presidency. He had initiated proceedings along with two of his ministers, Des van Rooyen and Mosebenzi Zwane, to have the ex-Public Protector Thuli Madonsela’s report on state capture stopped from public disclosure.
Few eyebrows would have been raised were Mr. Jacob Zuma the life-president of any of the several banana republics that dot the African continent. But this is Africa’s reputed rainbow nation and the continent’s undisputed economic hub. Hell!
