'afrika spectrum' is an inter-disciplinary refereed academic journal focusing on social science dealing with Africa, first published in 1966 by the Institute of African Affairs in Hamburg. The journal is dedicated to promote a deeper understanding of African peoples and cultures. It contains contributions of empirical and problem-oriented nature from all social science disciplines.
This is to announce the forthcoming special issue of AFRIKA
SPECTRUM
vol. 40 (2005)3 on "Perspectives of African Studies".
Please also note that this introduces a new service offered by the
journal, namely to register for 'Contents Direct' of 'afrika spectrum'
(further details at the end of the text). The print edition of the
journal will be delivered end of November 2005.
In order to provide an additional stimulus for potential subscribers,
the print edition will be circulated about a month before the online
version of the articles will be available (cf. below).
