What we are looking for
With relief and emergency experience like no other, you’ll have demonstrable knowledge of development and humanitarian issues. You’ll be on top of political, economic and social trends, too, able to tailor your solutions to meet the individual needs of diverse populations. And you’ll have the confidence to work innovatively to your own guidelines, combining your programme management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire your team.
Just as importantly though, you’ll be sensitive to a broad range of cultures. We work hard to make sure Oxfam GB represents the communities in which we work and are especially keen to speak to candidates with southern experience working in Africa and Asia.
Who we are
Oxfam is a worldwide organisation that employs over 6,000 people in more than 80 countries to overcome poverty and suffering. We believe that in a world rich in resources, these aren’t facts of life, but injustices which must be overcome. Through worldwide recognition we strive to even this balance - a balance we all feel responsible for. If you share this vision and commitment, then you’re exactly what we’re looking for.
