(NAIROBI, APRIL 13, 2015) – The Kenyan government should urgently review the inclusion of human rights organizations on an official list of alleged supporters of terrorism and ensure full respect of due process, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch said today.

Sunday’s early morning stampede at the University of Nairobi’s Kikuyu Campus is a sad indictment of the state of security in our country. If Kenyans are united at the moment, one thing brings us all together – fear.

The magnitude of last week’s massacre at Garissa University College in Kenya, located roughly 100 miles from the Somalia border, is shocking. In the course of the day, the death toll soared from seventeen to nearly 150 by evening.
