At the forefront of human rights, Amnesty International works tirelessly across the world to fight injustice and help those affected by it. Amnesty International believes that through the building of our global movement we will have a greater ability to create positive changes in the global Human Rights situation. To achieve this in Africa we need a talented Regional Growth Coordinator to strategically build our movement in the region.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In this new role, you will be accountable for the development and implementation of a range of projects which grow and mobilise the movement across Africa – exercising strategic thinking and sound judgment as you build on our presence and impact. Identifying innovative approaches to movement building in the region means partnering with civil society organisations, expanding and engaging members in the region or developing sustainable national entities. You will design, develop and implement effective strategies to achieve our desired goals in relation to building our movement for impact.
ABOUT YOU
You will have strong knowledge of human rights and the issues affecting civil society and activism in Africa. A solid background in developing and coordinating strategies for growth and mobilisation, partnerships with Civil Society Organisations and NGOs to achieve human rights change. Strategic thinking and excellent project management skills are essential. First rate communication skills and fluency in English and French are essential.
