The Sustainable Energy and Climate Change Partnership
is a project of Earthlife Africa Johannesburg branch, in partnership with
WWF Denmark.

Earthlife Africa, founded in 1988, is a civil society organisation working
for social and environmental justice on local, national and international
levels. The project aims to link renewable energy and energy efficiency
to awareness and advocacy around climate change, to influence relevant
development policies and programmes.

Requirements: Matric, relevant further education and work experience;
driver's licence; communication skills incl. fluency in English and at
least one other official language; good writing and computer skills;
knowledge of relevant issues; a strong, documented track record and
demonstrable skills; ability to work as part of an interactive team with
shared responsibilities; enthusiasm and commitment.

A thorough knowledge of energy and climate change issues and work
experience in the NGO sector are essential.

Duties will include: networking and advocacy at local, national and
international levels; secretariat services to the South African CAN;
facilitating meetings and workshops; preparing policy alternatives,
position papers and campaign materials; securing additional funding;
liaison with press and stakeholders; lobbying; outreach; participation
in national and international events.

International travel for up to two weeks required.

Remuneration and incentives negotiable, subject to skills, experience
and performance;
