Deputy Director - Sierra Leone

The Center for Victims of Torture is seeking a Deputy Director for hire to
coordinate the implementation of a psycho-social mental health project in
Sierra Leone for repatriated refugees or internally displaced persons from
Sierra Leone who have suffered torture and war trauma. EOE

Description

? Coordinate mental health program with ex-pat clinical psychologists.
? Manage all field-level operations and administration
? Supervise local staff in administration, logistics, and transport
? Prepare financial record-keeping and other reports
? Supervise and monitor procurement, storekeeping, and other logistics needs
? Coordinate and collaborate with other NGOs and the Government of Guinea
? Attend meetings and other functions as appropriate

Additional Qualifications:
Qualifications

? International program planning, implementation, management, evaluation,
experience
? Experience with health or mental health programs desired
? Strong participatory leadership and interpersonal skills.
? Strong oral and written communication skills, computer skills
? Three years' relevant experience in a developing country setting
? Excellent cross-cultural skills
? Ability to live and work in a rural Africa setting with limited
communication
? Good knowledge of financial systems and reporting, and NGO Financial
management
? Knowledge of international donor requirements, especially BPRM and UNHCR
? English fluency
? High level of flexibility
? Ability to work in unpredictable, politically unstable, isolated
environment, lacking in amenities
? Africa experience preferred
? Graduate degree preferred
