On 31 March 2016, in a unanimous ruling, all nine Justices of the Supreme Court (SC) upheld the declaration by the Electoral Commission (EC) chairman Dr Badru Kiggundu of incumbent Mr. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni as validly elected president of Uganda.
