Africa: Call for Contributions to ‘African Reflections’ - aGN

The – an Afro centric internet networking and information exchange platform, calls for submission of poems for its forth-coming book ‘African Reflections’, a collection of poetry & prose by African Authors Its aim is to encourage and promote the writing of emerging as well as more experienced African creative writers, as such, entrants will be judged on ability rather than experience.

Guidelines

There is no fixed topic for qualification or entry and the length of the poem should not be more than 20 lines Submission of poems is open to Africans (i.e. nationals of an African country or their children) based anywhere in the world who are 18 years or over.

The language for submission is English and Submission deadline is 30thNovember 2007.

Income
To be derived from sale of the anthology on a percentage basis, i.e. income (less costs) will be divided amongst the number of contributing writers in relation to the number of pieces each person submits. The maximum number of pieces that can be included per writer is 4. Once the publication is on sale, accounts will be rendered every six months.

African Global Networks (aGN) does not own the work of contributing authors. Ownership of all works submitted will remain the property of the author, however by submitting the work for consideration to be included in the anthology ‘Reflections’, the author grants aGN a non exclusive and indefinite right to edit and/ or reproduce their work in relation to the publication and/ or for any associated marketing/ promotional activity. Other Information Please provide a brief summary about yourself and state where you are based.

The author warrants that any work submitted for consideration/ inclusion in ‘Reflections’ is owned by them and is not restricted by copyright. aGN will not sell or distribute contributing authors work(s) for commercial gain without first obtaining the authors written permission.
