Senegal: Health corruption study makes headlines in Senegal

In August and September 2005, a GEH-funded project investigating corruption in the Senegalese health care system had its findings published in a number of Senegalese daily newspapers, creating a storm of activity, debate, resignations and firings. Research findings revealed widespread corruption in the Senegalese health sector, and were presented to and discussed before the country's Council for Economic and Social Affairs.
