By way of introduction

At present, Yemen is facing famine due to the targeting of hospitals, schools and neighbourhoods in an effort to break the will of the people to resist this military onslaught.

I am a wee-bit tired of activists as I am of discussion related to activism. The reason is neither strange nor inexplicable. I am not one of those people who think that activists should live a life of poverty and degradation and should complain of neither.

This admiration seems to have been influenced in part by the decisive manner in which Russia has pursued its military campaign in Syria and the resultant success thereof.
