As we remember the passing away of Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe (1924 - 1978) during this month of February, we can do well to reflect on his developmental ideas. To this day, Sobukwe remains a source of inspiration to many people in South Africa in particularand around the pan-African world.

As we remember Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe during this month of December, we can only do so by reflecting on his ideas about the future of this country in particular and the continent as a whole in general. This great son of the soil was born on 5 December 1924 - 90 years ago.

This is indeed a sad story of our lives. I however can no longer go on blaming the colonisers and the multi-corporations. The problem lies with our leadership.
