Emerson Mnangagwa’s uneventful expulsion from the government seems to show that the Crocodile, as he is known, failed to understand itself throughout the long period of its stay in the deep waters.

The 2018 elections are generally believed to be a decisive moment for the opposition. Indicators are that if the opposition fails to contest the elections as a united front under the MDC Alliance banner, its chances of dislodging ZANU-PF will be significantly eroded.

Probably the most important question for Zimbabwe today is that for how long shall this great country be covered by a dark cloud of tyranny? The ‘saints of dictatorship’ have defied the popular will to transform the country to democratic politics via the infrastructure of tyranny.

Swaziland has retained and continues to indefinitely retain its controversial status as an absolute constitutional monarchy. It is the only country in Africa with such a ‘distinctly maverick’ political order.
