Introduction

Karl Marx concludes his work on ‘theses on Feuerbach’ by stating that ‘the philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways; the point is to change it.’[1] He must have realized that ‘out of nothing, nothing comes’[2] and therefore, change is trans-generational.

Many opinion makers have come forth to applaud how the West responded promptly to the “terrorist” attacks in France and further used this opportunity to call for the same support against acts of terror in the African continent, particularly against Boko Haram in Nigeria.
