FEMNET being a regional organization that promotes and protects the rights of women in Africa, we have decided to probe the impact of the current Global Food Crisis and Climate Change on African women, in our next issue of FEMNET Newsletter for September-December, 2008. FEMNET invites you to contribute articles relating to this theme. The article can either be in French or English with maximum words of 800 words and minimum 400.
CALL FOR ARTICLES FOR THE FEMNET NEWSLETTERS
THEME: The Current Food Crisis touching the African Woman During the High-Level Conference on World Food Security which took place on 3 June 2008 at the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) headquarters in Rome, Italy. United Nations International Research and Training Institute for the Advancement of Women (UN-INSTRAW) emphasized the disproportionate impact that the current food crisis is having on women and girls, and called for action to ensure their protection.
UNINSTRAW further urged governments, international financial institutions and civil society groups to mobilize resources and take concrete action in favour of women and children.

We invite you to contribute articles relating to this theme. The article can either be in French or English with maximum words of 800 words and minimum 400. If you have pictures relating to the story please send us as well. The picture must be in Jpeg format.
