Igbo

The Igbo ethnic group in Nigeria is one of the three major ethnic nationalities in the country. The others are the Yoruba and the Hausa-Fulani.

Since the colonial era, a phobia has been haunting Nigeria: the phobia of Igbo domination. All over Nigeria, there is fear and suspicion by all ethnic groups and they blame it mostly on the Igbo scapegoats while some of the Igbo blame their own leaders.

In his latest book entitled, We Are All Biafrans, Chido Onumah offers a very powerful discourse of Nigeria by imposing on the observable claims of marginalisation by every other group against the Nigerian state the metaphor of Biafranism.
