The POLICY project is seeking an individual that will have primary responsibility for providing expertise in economic and financial evaluation and promoting innovative evidence-based policy interventions in planning and finance in the area of reproductive health. The candidate should have experience in the areas of family planning, contraceptive security, and/or safe motherhood. In addition s/he will be expected to spend approximately 10 percent of time on HIV/AIDS related issues. The selected individual will be an employee of RTI International, but will be located in The Futures Group International Office in Washington, DC and will work closely with Planning and Finance Team members on the POLICY project.

Senior Planning and Finance Advisor, Reproductive Health

The POLICY project is seeking an individual that will have primary
responsibility for providing expertise in economic and financial
evaluation and promoting innovative evidence-based policy interven-
tions in planning and finance in the area of reproductive health. The
candidate should have experience in the areas of family planning,
contraceptive security, and/or safe motherhood. In addition s/he will
be expected to spend approximately 10 percent of time on HIV/AIDS re-
lated issues.

Qualifications:
* Ph.D. and/or masters degree in economics, public health, business
or related field with a minimum of 7 years international professional
experience including field experience in developing countries; pro-
gram research; economic evaluation; and policy development
* Experience working with programmatic and research issues related to
family planning, contraceptive security, safe motherhood and/or other
reproductive health issues
* Advanced knowledge of policy issues related to family planning,
contraceptive security, and/or safe motherhood
* Relevant research and policy experience in the areas of costing,
cost effectiveness, resource allocation, finance, and economic impact
* Experience in policy analysis and presentations to high-level pol-
icy makers and program managers
* Knowledge of gender issues and analysis related to planning and fi-
nance desirable
* Excellent interpersonal, oral/written communication and organiza-
tional skills
* Ability to work well in a team setting
* Ability to travel internationally approximately 30% of the time
* Self directed and able to work independently
* Good Computer skills
* Experience with USAID-funded projects highly desirable
* Ability to work in Spanish or French desirable.

The selected individual will be an employee of RTI International, but
will be located in The Futures Group International Office in Washing-
ton, DC and will work closely with Planning and Finance Team members
on the POLICY project.
