The American University in Cairo, Forced Migration & Refugee Studies Program Community Interpreters Project (CCIP) is offering a three month training course for refugee interpreters speaking any of the following languages (native-speaker level): Dinka, Amharic, Tigrinya, Somali, Kiswahili, Arabic, Juba Arabic, Fur.
Candidates must have the following eligibility requirements:
1. Good educational background (high school / university level)
2. Fluency in English language (spoken and read)
3. Good oral communication skills
4. Aptitude for learning
If you meet all the above requirements, please fill out the application for admission to the course available at www.aucegypt.edu/academic/fmrs/interpreters or the American University in Cairo (Old Falaki Building, Room 503)
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: 1st February 2005

Successful applicants will be invited (e-mail or phone call) to sit an entry test at the American University in Cairo between the 13th and 17th February 2005.

You will be required to pass an English and attitudinal test in order to be admitted to our training course. This will be part of your interview. Please note that women and refugees who are not eligible for resettlement will be given preference. If admitted to the course, you will be charged LE 60 registration fee.
