Institutional Fundraiser, Fahamu

To be based in Fahamu’s Oxford or Nairobi office with substantial travel to other Fahamu offices, Fahamu seeks an experienced institutional fundraiser who will work to contribute to the long-term financial sustainability of the organisation by increasing the range and volume of funds raised from institutional donors in the North and by exploring the fundraising potential from diverse sources in Africa.

During the Kenya Elections 2007 and after, amateur and professional photographers alike captured powerful scenes of the campaigning, voting and ensuing violence and destruction. The exhibition tells this story through over 150 compelling images, presenting an opportunity for us all to remember and reflect. Exhibition runs Monday to Friday 9am -5pm and on Saturdays 10am-4pm. Closes 10th May 2008.

Trust At the GoDown Arts Centre, Dunga Rd, Nairobi.

Alison Ojany Owuor – Poet Alison is a young published poet who has presented her work in different public forums.
She got her voters card and graduated from college last year.
She is looking for three things – meaningful work, Kenyans who are of the ethnic group Kenyan and hopeful imaginings in red, green, white and black.

Simiyu Barasa – Prose writer He is a Kenyan filmmaker and member of the Coalition of Concerned Kenya Writers.

Mike Kwambo – Poet Mike performs regularly at the Kwani? Poetry Open Mic. He has a blog http://kenyanexpressions.wordpress.com Erick Omondi – Story Teller He was the overall winner of the Story Moja Storytelling Competition held in December 2007.

Cindy Ogana – Poet.
Cindy performs regularly at the Kwani? Poetry Open Mic, she runs a blog http://poetryloveandgod.blogspot.com/ .
